I first heard this song by Strings at a party where one of my colleagues was singing this song while playing his guitar. I knew right then and there I had to listen to this song and after the party asked him the details of the song. Since then this song sits in my favorites and driving playlist.

Another year has come to an end and as I reflect back on the year that has been, the below moments are something that I have really cherished this year.

1. After countless months, days, weeks and hours of searching, we were finally able to buy a house.
2. Traveling with the family to Rajasthan for our vacation (something which needs to be done more often)
3. Getting a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 bike
4. Dancing with my wife on a slow song at my brother’s engagement
5. Moving from an individual contributor role to a management role at work
6. Traveling to Bhigwan to do bird photography with my best friends Sid and Rahul
7. Chilling out at Agonda Beach with my wife
8. Late night drives with bro and wife
9. Early morning bike ride with PS
10. Anniversary dinner with my wife

There are many more – but these are the top moments in 2014 for me. Hopefully there will be lot of traveling, lot of work, lot of fun and a lot of partying next year.

I have been reading a lot of reports lately on how theaters are being vandalized because people were “hurt” after watching PK. Me and wifey saw the movie on the 1st day itself and to be honest didn’t find any content which would hurt anyone. It is a very thought provoking movie. I don’t remember such commotion when Oh My God was released and it also deals with the same subject. May be it is because here we have a Muslim actor and somehow he seems to have offended a Hindu nation. Or may be the Godmen who are losing their business because of such movies are asking their followers to create such commotion. Or may be it is just that we have lost the ability to think and are just used to watching movies like Happy New Year and Kick (mindless rubbish) and cant act right when a movie challenges our beliefs.
