The last week has been pretty hectic for me work wise. I am now working from the Chembur office in Mumbai and have been shuttling between 3 offices. A lot of work has been thrown in my direction right from driving a certain process to developing a certain process and handling a new process. So a lot of things are there to be done. Right now, my number one concern is the commute. The commute is a bitch to be honest, both by car and train. It takes a minimum of one and half hours either by train or by car. The traffic in the city is horrible. There are way too many cars, buses, autos, animals and humans on the street. It takes forever to get from one end of the city to another. The train journey is also not any better. I have to change 3 trains to get to Chembur and traveling during the rush hour is just a train too many. Anyways, I guess this is how life is going to go on until I am here in this city. Really looking forward to going somewhere else.

A comment
The other day a me and a friend of mine were discussing about work and she commented that you have to struggle so much to get to the office. While at that moment I didn’t really understand what she meant by struggle, since being in Mumbai and traveling regularly in the trains here, I am quite used to the daily pushing and jostling for tiniest of spaces. But after a while when the comment really sinked in, I realized commute was much better when I was in Washington DC. I didn’t have any jump in the entering train just to get a better place to stand, neither did I get crowded in, or drenched in someone else’ sweat and there no pushing and fighting or arguing. Just everyone going about their business in a very comfortable manner.
Even in Kolkata, the commute was much better. I didn’t have to take the train here, the auto rickshaw journey was comfortable as again there was not “struggle” to get to office. Getting to work place for only tough some days when I used to travel by the overcrowded “killer” blue buses.
Enter Mumbai. I can now understand how much struggle it is to get to work. By the time you have reached office, almost half of your energy is drained. This by far is the biggest challenge a new comer might face when he/ she arrives here. May be Raj Thackeray should take up such issues, rather than focusing on who said what. A lot of Marathi manoos also travel in the trains. I am sure he will get their votes if he makes their, and with them, our commute comfortable.
I wish…
Yesterday was 7th day of Ganapati celebrations and it was also a day of visarjan. As usual, there was a lot of traffic, along with the rains, and getting a bus or an auto was extremely difficult. So I decided to walk home from Kandivali station and while walking I saw so many people walking together with their loved ones, holding hands, sharing the same umbrella with smiles on their faces. I just felt incomplete while watching them..I wished someone was there with me too.

Google search results
My website now shows up on the top of the 2nd page in Google results for “Akshay V”. If you just search for “Akshay”, almost all the results display something related to Akshay Kumar. I really hate Akshay Kumar for hogging all the limelight. This reminds me I need to add some meta data in the website.
Should he wait or not wait?
A friend of mine is going through this situation right now.. He is deeply in love with a girl and they have been dating for quite some time. The girl is also deeply in love with the guy. The guy’s parents have no issues with the girl, but the girl’s parents are not agreeing to their alliance since the kundli’s dont match. Now the girl has moved to a different country and her parents refuse to speak about the guy or the relationship. For them it is a closed chapter. They have been warning the girl that if she takes any steps towards the guy, like marry against our wishes etc, then they will cut off all ties with her. The girl does not want to go against her parents, but at the same time does not want to lose the guy. In the mean time, the guys parents are now asking what happened with the girl’s parents? Have they approved or disapproved? If they have disapproved, do you want us to start looking for you? So far the guy has told them he will let them know. But it seems like his patience is losing. The girl is not willing to commit to him that in case her parents are still against this after some period she is willing to go against them. Obviously, the guy knows that he cant force her to be with him. The girl does not know when she is going to return back to the country, while her parents refuse to speak about this matter on the phone or email. The guy does not know how much longer he should wait for the girl. Should he even wait at all? He was asking me all this and I couldn’t answer anything, hence this post. I hope the girl and guy get to be together, but from what it appears the chances of that happening are very low.
This is freaky and cool
Aankhon ke Saagar
This song has been playing in my head since today morning.. couldnt resist posting the lyrics.
Aankhon ke Saagar
Hotthon ke Saagar
Aankhon ke Saagar
Hotthon ke Saagar
Le doobe Hame
Le Doobe Hame
Aankhon ke Saagar
Hotthon ke Saagar
Le doobe Hame
Le Doobe Hame
Palkon ko aise
Palkon se chchoo le
Ke jab dil mile
toh manzil mile
Tum bhi naa bhoole
Hum bhi naa bhoole
ke jab dil mile
toh manzil mile
Aaankhon ke saagar…
tadapna meraaa
hasna tera…
tadapna meraaa
hasna tera…
neende meri
sapna tera
Aankhon ke saagar
hothon ke saagar
Le doobe Hame
Le Doobe Hame
sabhi dooriyaan
woh majbooriyaan
sabhi dooriyaan
woh majbooriyaan
bhulado unhe
ke main hoon yahaan
palkon ko aise
palkon se chchoo le
ke jab dil mile
toh manzil mile
tum bhi naa bhoolo
hum bhi naa bhoole
ke jab dil mile
toh manzil mile
Aankhon ke Saagar
Hotthon ke Saagar
Le doobe Hame
Le Doobe Hame
Aankhon ke Saagar
Hotthon ke Saagar.
